• Workshops, Panels and Artist Talks – Be in touch with events and programs that are going on and attend as many as possible. Not only will you gain knowledge from the programs themselves but these are also opportunities to network.
• Collectives – Joining or creating a collective of artists or creative people can create power in numbers where individuals trigger each other to develop and grow as artists or collaborate.
• Exhibitions, Openings, Art Fairs – Seeing artwork is a great way to locate yourself within the context of the current market, find other artists who work similarly which will help you locate the galleries or dealers who represent them, and by finding red dots you can locate the type of work that is selling.
